Day
Ninety-Three: Late again
My Top Five
Procrastination Suggestion!
#5: Social Media – I spend a lot of time on
twitter, facebook, blogs, Wikipedia, and other informative trolling websites
where I can learn useless information for hours instead of studying, and I am
good at it! I usually try to only do
this twice a day so that in the event that people don’t update as quickly as I
would like them to I don’t get disappointed.
Number one rule of procrastination:
Don’t ever let yourself get disappointed, whatever you’re doing is
better than doing work.
#4: Eating –
I end up making the most obscure, interesting meals while studying because it
is better than actually doing work. I
will use whatever food I have left to make great pasta, different omelettes,
interesting sandwiches, and inventive snacks.
I would rather be filling my tummy than my brain, and I tend to do this
very often…We need fuel, right?
#3:
Planning – This is one of my favourite things to do anyway, to plan
things. To plan what to do this summer,
what to do on my breaks, what to eat for breakfast the next morning. This also occurs in the direst moments of
procrastination: When do I need to see
the dentist next? I really should make
an appointment for a massage. And in the
last, pulling-at-straws moments of procrastination: Let’s plan that trip to Peru next summer.
#2: YOUTUBE
– A lot of people go to this one first, but this is for the hardcore times of
need where I can’t do the social media or eat anything else, but to immerse
myself into other people’s lives.
Youtube commonly creates extra breaks from studying because I get
carried away. I will go on to only watch
the newest Jimmy0010 video and two hours later I’m halfway through Brotherhood
2.0 after parousing the majority of Liam Dryden’s latest and all of anyone’s
beauty hauls. This has happened. Numberous, numerous times. Beware of Youtube.
#1: Tumblr –
This is very personal, but here she is: www.huntersguidetohappiness.tumblr.com
. Come tomorrow afternoon, this
website/blog will explode with entries, reblogs, postings, musings, anything I
can possibly think of, because it begins tomorrow. Tumblr is the perfect tool for
procrastination because it takes two seconds to find a photo and reblog it, and
then create a theme, or find other things that relate to what you like, and to
scroll, endlessly. It is the best and
worse thing to ever happen in my life, and I have no regrets. Go get a tumblr, you will not regret this.
These are
my tips! Sorry they’re late, I’ll be
writing something else later, woohoo last day of class!
